I have a 65 pound very hyper old English sheepdog, can you let me know what the best food for a high energy dog like that would be?

The very first ingredient is a meat and the next four are vegetables and maybe grains or a second meat. Find a high quality commercial kibble and your dog should do fine.

because dog food is expensive it doesn’t mean its good food – because it comes from a pet shop or even your vet doesn’t mean it is good food
you are looking for something along these lines – high protein and low fiber – stay away from food that is made with ground yellow corn
if you buy a food that is too high energy and don’t exercise your dog enough they will get fat unless you control the portion size
