I bought "female pet bloomers" for my dog in heat. The hole for the tail was too big, so I stitched it to the right size (the bloomers, not the tail!) I bought dog sanitary pads for the bloomers, but they didn't go in the right place. I bought human baby diapers and cut a hole in each for the tail. I have to put the bloomers on over the diaper, though, or my dog removes the diaper. Pull-ups-type diapers work best, as tabs aren't always sticky enough. Thanks for the info.! :)

Mine got it at 4 months. He went down hill very quickly. Not eating or drinking and when he did, throwin up and pooping blood. It was terrible. I was only 17 and couldnt affor the vet treatment, so I got the vet to put "water pockets" under his skin, then I took him home and sat with him for 4 days and gave him pedialyte, gatorade, his medications i got from the vet, and I fed him only boiled chicken and rice and within a week he was much better, and after 2 weeks, he had gained some weight back and was playing and eating great again. Good luck.

It is easy to make, BUT they dont stay on.
you put in a sanitary napkin in the female dog diaper and it stays clean, or you could wash it. Also, when the belly band is on they are less likely to pee. If they do, just add a diaper inside and throw it away when used. search YAHOO for more information "seasonal dog diaper dogs in heat and belly bands"

my female lab had it when she was about that age still she had all of her shots it took a week at the vets and cost us about 2500.00 dollars but we still have her and shes the best we asked our vet to let us treat her at home at night so it would cost less and he let us so it probably would have cost way more.

I had four puppies come down with Parvo after receiving their second shots. The vet kept them for a little over a week and had them on IV's most of the time. All survived. Get you pup to a vet as soon as possible. The longer you delay the worse the chances are for survival.

It is likely just an infection that has gotten his lymph nodes to swell up. They have a lot to do with the immune system and swelling is just them being activated just like when humans are sick with a cold or flu. It is true that swollen lymph nodes can indicate cancer, but it is extremely rare in young dogs. I'm sure by the time you have finished up the medication your dog will be perfectly fine!

I do believe that if they only showed the re-usable diaper the rest would be self explanatory. Does anyone concur?

See vet ASAP - he needs palliative treatment at the very least. It's unkind to make him suffer.
